US 215 Jackson 2c carmine perf 12 on soft paper. The stamp depicts Andrew Jackson, a military figure and the 7th President of the United States. Approximately 26M were issued in 1888 and the most common use was to pay the rate on double weight first class letters. Scott lists rose carmine and pale rose as minor shade varieties and there are no listed plate flaws.
