1c Green Franklin double line watermark perf. 12. issued in 1903. The first stamp in the second bureau printing, it was a workhorse stamp commonly used as a pair for first class mail, for postcards and to make up the rate when an additional 1c was requried. Scott lists 4 minor shade varieties besides the primary shade of blue green and 3 plate flaws.
