62B Washington PSE certified as Fine 70. An attractive and sound copy of this rare stamp.
62B Washington 10c dark green perf. 12. Earliest know use is Sept. 17, 1861. The defining characteristic of 62B is the lack of a "cap" on the top center of the frame. 500,000 were issued primarily to pay the transcontinental rate for first class. Scott lists dark yellow green as a minor shade variety. Multiples and OG examples are very rare.
