Canal Zone Stamps
This category includes the issues of the Canal Zone printed under US administration. Early issues where Panama stamps overprinted with Canal Zone. Starting in 1924 US stamps overprinted with Canal Zone were issued and in 1928 Canal Zone began issuing unique stamps until Panama assumed joint control over the canal with the US in 1978.
